Here it is October, 2008, and gas is around $3.00 or so a gallon, even lower in some places. This past summer, everyone was OUTraged!!…that gas was up around $4.20 a gallon. But it’s an election year.
Isn’t it sad how all of us only deal with a crisis? We don’t like to plan ahead, think about what likely will happen, and do something to mitigate the future problems, do we. Nope, we know that we could drill for more oil, develop programs and a national energy policy. We heard all kinds of blather about sustainable fuels, cutting costs, yadda-yadda-yadda.
But whew! Now that gas is down below $4, everything’s fixed. No more worries. Until gas goes up past $5 a gallon next summer. Think it won’t? Well, I guess we’ll see, won’t we. Would you care to place a small wager?
Enh, no worries, no pressure, no necessity. We’ll get around to it when we get around to it. Right now is all that matters, and gas prices are just fine. So what if they’re $1.50/gal more than they were last year? They’re less than they were this past summer so everything’s fixed!
Well said… Great information, keep up the great work!
